Just like the name suggests, a mod is a modification to a game, and it is usually created by a member of that game’s community. They can also add specific features to the game that allow them (the players) to tell a wider variety of stories. For instance, players can now create and share custom content. It is important to note that the Sims modding community has been able to address a large number of features desired by players of the game but which were unavailable. In a bid to get past these restrictions, members of the gaming community created mods with the intention of helping players expand their Sim’s life beyond the available customization options. For instance, the type of hairstyle or color of hair a player wants for his or her Sim might not be available this means the player (you) will have to make do with the available colors and styles, even if you don’t want to. Despite the amount of control the game provides its players, it is almost impossible to do everything you want with your Sims. As such, they are able to customize their Sims however they want and have them live their lives in accordance to their whims and desires. In The Sims 4, players are provided with an extended control of their Sims and their customizations. Despite these updates, there are several other features that players want from the game to ensure realistic gameplay as well increased capacity to create the kind of lives, worlds, and stories that appeal to them. Apart from its base version, the Sims 4 currently has 34 DLCs, 17 Stuff Packs, 9 Expansion Packs, and 8 Game Packs, with the result being better customization options for the players. The game provides its players with the freedom to do practically anything with their simulations. The Sims is a game series that involves the creation of a simulation with control and management firmly with the player.
